The environment control room is filled with machines that run
the air systems, water systems, and 4 diesel power generators each capable of
generating 1 megawatt. It is a
large, round room, two stories high, with sound baffling hanging from the
ceiling and a large metal catwalk all the way around the outside, forming
the second floor. <A HREF=air.html TARGET=tour>Air duct passages lead off opposite sides of the catwalk.</A>
The first floor is also made of wire mesh, covering small pits.<P>
