The control silo is the deepest point in the whole complex. It
is partitioned off into 4 known floors with a service
elevator between them and a latrine on the entry floor. There is one
floor above the main floor, currently connected only by a ladder. This
is where the control 'computers' are. A ladder also leads down to a floor
that contains blowers and other equipment, and from there another ladder
leads down (under water). Below the main floor, a <A HREF=service1.html TARGET=tour>
service tunnel</A> connects to the launch silo.<P>

The machines left are just empty chassis with thick bundles of cut wires still
connected, and face plates with the guages and controls missing. These
machines are pretty much analog, designed and built before digital
computers were <I>really</I> in vogue, or at least before they were
affordable or reliable.<P>

In the floor below the main floor, on the opposite side of the room from
the entrance to the <A HREF=service1.html TARGET=tour>
service tunnel</A>, this ladder leads down into the dark
water below. The top of a door frame can barely be seen just above water
level.<P>
